NikÄ™ Campbell is a Nigerian-American, born in Lviv, Ukraine, and raised in Lagos Nigeria. She writes about immigrant experiences and African history that are in danger of being misrepresented or lost. She was the 2018 Red Hen Press Fiction Award finalist for her historical fiction manuscript. A selection of her short stories from her collection, Bury Me Come Sunday Afternoon, have been adapted for film, and screened at international film festivals. She is the author of the historical fiction, Thread of Gold Beads published in 2012 and adapted to a stage play in 2014.
